Fall Garden - St. Andrew's United Church

While walking through the City on a beautiful Fall day, I was able to capture some photos of a lovely food garden taking its last breaths before winter takes over:
Here is some beautiful chard poking its way through a mulching of leaves! Planting hardy greens in the late summer is a great way to extend your harvest of fresh vegetables late into Fall
Thyme thriving. See future posts for ideas on using this savoury seasoning throughout the season

 The last of the tomatoes!
Broccoli plants that had gone to flower, and started to produce seed
Lovely green chard, and some spent marigolds leave some colour in the late fall garden
I love this photo, something about the dying back sunflower and the beauty of the yellowing leaves really symbolizes fall to me.
