The Lift Lock Community Garden doubled in size this weekend!! Here at the PCGN, we are very excited about this development. Thanks so much to Parks Canada, Peterborough Green-Up, the Lift Lock Community Gardeners, and of course our plowing farmer extraordinaire Warren, for making this happen!
The first half of the garden grew along splendidly this past season, and we look forward to offering many more plots to new gardeners and community members and the potential for mountains of food to be grown in 2012.

Do you live in the area? (Garden is located at the base of the Lift Lock) Do you live in an apartment or lack space or sun to get growing? Need some assistance learning how to get growing? Want to be part of a thriving community group in your neighbourhood?
The Lift Lock community garden would like to open up the second half of the garden to people living in the area who need some space to grow. We have set the garden up as a mentoring garden, which means, even if you are new to gardening, or need some help gaining the confidence or skills to grow your own food, we are willing to partner up with you, and help you grow lots of food next season! The soil is incredibly fertile, and as a group, we have lots of knowledge to share
