Snow doesn't mean the end of the season!

One of our network members sent in this photo of their kale patch. Kale is one of those wonderful plants that we can grow & enjoy quite late in the season, and it even gets more flavourful with a little frost, or two!

Due to an unseasonably warm fall, my cilantro was still alive and thriving in my garden: yesterday it got a light dusting of snow, but it is still alive, i think it is probably time to pick it!

Despite the cold outside, I still have lots of fresh greens growing inside:
on my way to work yesterday, i saw something very strange, an iris about to bloom, in November, covered in snow!
