It’s
Gardening Season!
There are still garden plots
available throughout town. Let us know if you are still looking for a plot?
The beginning of May is a great time
to get out in your garden. You can dig-up a garden, expand an existing garden,
add compost & make beds for your veggies.
You can even start planting some
things. Carrots, beets, radishes, potatoes & cold hearty greens such as
kale & chard can go directly in the gardens, and start veggies such as
cucumbers, zucchini & squash indoors. Once the last frost date has passed
(typically May 24th) you can start beans right in the garden &
transplant your tomato, pepper, eggplant & other seedlings into the garden!
